ZooHoo’s Eatery Story

The “parent” of ZooHoo’s EateryTM, Wahoo’s, was born 10 years ago in Wilmington, Vermont. Customers immediately gravitated towards our concept due to our high quality, great tasting food served in a relaxing, “green” environment. Over the years, we have added on to the original trailer to meet the demand of our growing customer base. Having successfully developed and refined our mobile food service concept over the past 10 years, in 2009 we began evaluating expanding our concept. We also began developing the next generation of Wahoo’s.

Having researched various expansion methods, we recognized that franchising was a perfect model for our concept. With the growing opportunities in the U.S. for mobile food service operators, we knew that the timing was perfect to introduce our concept to the industry. In early 2010, we selected FranSource International to oversee the development of our franchise operation and in July, the ZooHoo’s Eatery franchise was officially launched.

Vermont’s Governor, James Douglas, was on-hand to participate in our ribbon cutting ceremony July 28, 2010. He commented that our management team’s creativity “could make them the next Ben and Jerry’s," Governor Douglas had previously presented the owners of ZooHoo’s, Adam and Karen Grinold, with the Brattleboro Development Corporation’s 2009 first place business plan award recognizing their outstanding mobile food service concept.

Leading the Way

ZooHoo’s is leading the way in the mobile fast casual restaurant industry. Our mobile food service trailers allow you to operate a successful business in these tough economic times. The same old food franchises have become boring. People are flocking to mobile food service trailers that offer quality food made to order. The national fast-food chains’ burger sales are down and fresh, hand-patted burger concepts like ours were up 12% in 2009. Even during the recent economic downturn, fast casual dining concepts like ZooHoo’s continued to grow.

Finding a franchise where your work ethic matches your income is not out of reach. Our mobile food service franchise provides entrepreneurial individuals the opportunity to fully enjoy the fruits of their labor. However, ZooHoo’s Eatery is NOT for everyone. You must be willing to put in the time and effort, but with our proven system and low initial investment requirements, your time and effort will be rewarded.
